Senator JV Ejercito lauded the swift passage on third and final reading the People’s Freedom of Information Act of 2013 on Monday, March 10.

Ejercito, one of the authors of the landmark bill (Senate Bill 1733), said, “I commend the Senate for its strong political will in approving on third and final reading the Freedom of Information Bill, which shall serve as a beacon of hope in establishing transparency and accountability in government.”

Senator Ejercito expressed hope that the House of Representatives will also pass their counterpart bill and eventually for President Benigno Aquino III to enact it into law.
