Had a chance to visit the Eduardo L. Joson Memorial Hospital in Nueva Ecija where I saw the actual conditions of patients suffering from various ailments.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, the overcrowding in government hospitals breaks my heart that urges me more to come up with solutions to resolve this perennial problem.
Also, such visits give us the idea of the actual required upgrades of the hospital facilities and equipment to ease the situation of patients and expedite their recovery.
