It was my honor to speak before the promising graduates, the faculty and guests in the 34th Commencement Exercises of Basilan State College.
I urged the graduates to be our active partners in pursuing change and development in our country. I asked them to be transformational leaders and take the cudgel in contributing not only in our efforts for economic development but also in pursuing lasting peace.
As our nation faces ever-growing problems and challenges – the values and vision of the youth are needed now more than ever to build a better, progressive Philippines.
