The benefits from a modern and efficient railway system and township housing setting are among the topics I explained with the members of Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards, Inc (PAREB) during their 58th Founding Anniversary and National Convention.

I believe that the “railway [system] is the only way” to uplift the lives of our people. It could be serve as the backbone of our economy.

Also, as chairman of the Senate Committee on Housing, I make sure to come up with measures and programs that will address the housing backlog in the country. One of the landmark measures that I am pushing is the creation of a Department of Housing that will provide a decent home for every Filipino family. This bill is on the final stages of legislation and is expected to pass very soon.
