Before my engagement as Guest of Honor in the Graduation Ceremony of Capiz State University, I had the chance to visit Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital.

As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, I personally assess the present conditions of our health facilities all over the country as well as the patients.

I am really saddened seeing them forced to stay in corridors and aisles due to overcrowding.

This compels me to exert more efforts to address this problem by finding ways to upgrade the medical equipment and facilities.

At the same time, I discussed to the staff and health workers about my proposed Universal Healthcare Bill as one of my advocacies which aims to make health care services accessible and affordable to everyone especially to the poor.

Thank you Dr. Ed Arancillo, Medical Chief and all the hospital staff for the warm welcome and for touring me around your hospital.
