Just approved the DILG’s 2017 proposed budget. It’s now subject for plenary review and approval. Several issues were raised in the budget hearing such as the PNP’s lack of air assets, what to do with the lack of rehab centers and the LGU’s possible involvement, the lack of firetrucks in 316 municipalities nationwide, and the PNP’s housing budget that I saw missing in the 2017 budget. Hopefully, we are able to address all these loopholes with the 2017 budget.
