As Senate Committee Chair of Urban Planning, Housing, and Resettlement, I spoke before the Asia Pacific Housing Forum 6 to share housing and urban planning solutions in addressing urbanization trends in the country today.

With terrorism and Maute rebellion in Mindanao as a hot issue, I raised the issue of reconstructing Marawi City from scratch and transforming it as a model city for urban planners. I urged the experts in the forum to take this as a challenge in rebuilding strife-torn cities such as Marawi.

Other proposals I shared in unlocking the transformative power of cities include the passage and implementation of the In-City Bill; and ensuring a modern and efficient transportation link that would make city living comfortable and sustainable.20264575_1665166156826725_8128697987224261136_n
