LUNCH MEETING WITH NEW ZEALAND PRIME MINISTER 🇵🇭🇳🇿
Joined the lunch meeting in honor of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and his delegation hosted by SP Senator Migz Zubiri.
Aside from Prime Minister Luxon, we had the privilege of meeting New Zealand Minister of Climate Change and Minister of Revenue Simon Watts, and Paulo Garcia, a member of Parliament and co-chairperson of the New Zealand South and Southeast Asia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The Philippines and New Zealand will mark 58 years of diplomatic relations on July 6 this year. Since 1966, our ties have grown from politics to include economics, defense, development assistance, and people-to-people connections.
We aim to elevate our partnership with New Zealand to a comprehensive one by 2026, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of our bilateral relations.
