REP. JV EJERCITO INKS YLEA MOA WITH JCI

Today witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between San Juan City Representative JV Ejercito and Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines National President Randolf Ruste for the 2012 Youth Leadership Excellence Awards or YLEA, an award-giving body that gives recognition to outstanding elementary and high school students all over the country.

Officers and members of JCI Philippines conferred together at the House of Representatives to witness this event. Right before the MOA signing, Rep. JV gave a short message as this year’s presenter of the awards.

“YLEA continues to serve as a booster for the nation’s outstanding students. By recognizing and encouraging them to develop their leadership qualities and academic achievements, we are sure that these bright individuals would rise up in the future to become our leaders,” the lawmaker said.

He furthered, “And so we shall continue to support this program, not only as a member of JCI Philippines, but because this program fulfills the organization’s mission, which is to provide opportunities for the youth to create positive change.”

The Youth Leadership Excellence Award is presented by the JCI Philippines in cooperation with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the office of Rep. JV Ejercito, as the main sponsor through the DSWD to deserving graduating elementary and high school students from both private and public schools throughout the Philippines.

Rep. JV became JCI Philippines National President back in 1998 and continues to be supportive of the organization at present.
