Medical Assistance

Hospitals by which indigent patients can now avail of medical assistance are the National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI), Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Philippine Heart Center (PHC), Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC), Lung Center Institute (LCI)and San Juan Medical Center (SJMC).

 

Financial assistance can likewise be availed by San Juaneños, with a fund allocated for those in need of immediate aid at the Department of Social Welfare and Services (DSWD).

 

With this information of medical and financial assistance disseminated, a total of 240 constituents in over 19 barangays in San Juanhave benefited from the said assistance (data as of July 2011). Help is likewise being extended to 16 cities and provinces outside San Juan such as Manila, Quezon City, Valenzuela City, Pasig City, Parañaque City, Makati City, Mandaluyong City, Las Piñas City, Iloilo City, Naga City, Rizal, Quezon Province, Cavite, Tagum City and Baguio City.

 

Earlier this June, Rep. JV donated packs of branded medicines such as Tuseran, Solmux, Coldease and Neozep to 10 Health Stations and 9 Health Centers in San Juan, along to its 7 sister cities namely Gerona in Tarlac, Loay and Trinidad in Bohol, Davao City, Bacolod City, Occidental Mindoro and Banawe in Ifugao. The donated medicines were approximately P885,425 in worth.
